Good to know
I've just been scammed. What should I do first?
If money or bank details are involved, call your bank straight away. Then disconnect the computer from the internet and call me (tap “Show phone number” at the top of this page). You can also report it to Scamwatch at scamwatch.gov.au.
My bank wants proof my computer is clean. Can you help?
Yes. After cleaning and checking the device I can give you a signed clean-scan certificate.
Can this be done remotely?
If a scammer has had access to the computer, an in-person visit is best so I can check it properly. Other problems can often be handled remotely.
How much does it cost?
A$150 an hour incl. GST. Minimum one hour, then 30-minute blocks, and there's no call-out fee. WA Seniors Card holders get 10% off.
